The blog is written by Corina Blum (nee Beal). She says: "I love cooking, reading and writing about food and began Searching for Spice as a way of recording some of my favourite recipes and to have a place where I could easily find my favourite dishes when I wanted to make them again. I love using spices and discovering new ones and that’s how the blog’s name came about. A lot of the dishes are inspired by dishes from around the world. Some of my favourite recipes are curries, stir fries and spicy salads. I love Indian, Mexican, North African, Thai and Chinese food."
PR opportunities include reviews and recipe development, Corina states: "As a busy mum, I don’t have time to spend hours in the kitchen every day and the majority of the recipes are fairly easy to make and not too time-consuming, although I do occasionally like to experiment with something outside of my comfort zone and am always looking for new recipes and ideas to try out. I am happy to work with Brands and PR companies to review cookbooks, products and ingredients on my blog. I am also happy to attend events. Any views that are given will be my own".
