Newsbeat is the flagship news programme on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra. Newsbeat is produced by BBC News but differs from the BBC's other news programmes in its remit to provide news tailored for a specifically younger audience. The main programmes are at 12:45pm and 5:45pm on weekdays, but they have bulletins from early morning, all the way through the day. The show covers a variety of topics from hard news to entertainment stories. Listeners can listen to Radio 1 around the world online.
