KRTH-FM is a commercial station owned by Audacy License LLC. The format of the station is classic hits. KRTH-FM's target audience is oldies music listeners, ages 18 to 54, in the Los Angeles area. The station airs locally at 101.1 FM. KRTH-FM is best known by its tagline "K-Earth 101" and their slogan is "Greatest Hits on Earth."

Requests need to be submitted 6-8 weeks in advance of the start date for consideration. The Los Angeles Cluster of CBS-FM stations (KROQ, KCBS, KAMP, KTWV) do NOT run produced PSAs that are on a cd, .mp3 or .wav files. These stations create PSAs based around station related events. KRTH-FM does however air live :10 second PSA mentions (read by their own on-air talent). If they run, they will track for 5 days, one spot per day, usually in the late evening to early morning hours. The following DOES apply to public service announcements: Community based events (fairs, meetings, ect.), fundraising events where proceeds will benefit a non-profit organization, announcements of ‘Awareness’ or “Reminders” which simply provide important information the public should know on health issues, environmental issues, animal abuse, education related issues, veteran issues, etc.
