About

Bio

This is the second hour of the four-hour morning show airing on KPTV-TV in Portland, OR. It covers an array of topics including cooking, health, consumer, finance, events listings, entertainment, celebrity interviews, the stock market, and book reviews. Books are featured only if it relates to Portland, is written by a local author, or if it can be localized. Press releases should be submitted by fax three weeks in advance. Planning meetings are held each morning and the planning producer will submit the pitches to the group. If they are interested in featuring the information they will call. Unlike other shows PR professionals can call during the taping of the program as someone is assigned to answering the telephone. However, PR professionals are advised not to try and double book on Good Day Oregon and AM Northwest during the same day, as they are obvious competitors.
