It became, I’m not sure where from, a running joke that my curatorial profession involved arranging objects on trays, specifically spoons, which would be secured with a hot glue gun to ensure no further re-arrangement need ever be attempted. The standard mode of enquiry for how my work was going became "how are the spoons?"' The blog posts are written by Katy Barrett. a historian, curator and digital media enthusiast. Pieces are aimed at a general audience. Katy is the Curator of Art, pre-1800 at Royal Museums Greenwich who is interested in the intersections between histories of art and science. She has worked in a number of national and university museums, and reads about and visits collections insatiably. Entries in the Spoons on Trays blog concentrate on categories such as museums, collections, exhibitions, objects and books.
