A show focused on unlocking complexities behind the headlines - as sport was coming out of lockdown. Helpfully SportUnlocked was available as a handle on Twitter, Facebook & Instagram where extra video content is posted using a graphics package I created. Self-produced and edited featuring multiple guests and topics each week, interviews and audio elements. Sometimes it features three journalists analysing and trying to demystify complex issues. Sports leaders also come on most weeks for more in-depth discussions - including from football, NFL and cricket. Listen and subscribe via www.podfollow.com/SportUnlocked and www.twitter.com/SportUnlocked - Features high in Apple sports pod charts even in countries where English isn’t the main language, including Saudi Arabia, Paraguay, Italy, Spain, Qatar and India. - The debut episode in January 2021 featured a discussion on whether a Super League would launch - and that was eventually tried in April. - An episode in February featured an anti-discrimination leader calling on football to boycott social media - and that also happened in April. - A episode focused on sexual abuse in football on the release of the English FA inquiry report, the only UK podcast to cover the issues that week with lawyers and experts. - Olympics focused episodes brought together key people to discuss ground-breaking transgender athletes, fixing in boxing and helping to explain how the IOC works with Brisbane quietly awarded the 2032 Games. - The first live audience show was in October 2021 at the Leaders conference
