WEMBLEY MATTERS is a politics-focused, social and environmental blog based in Brent, and is aimed at a UK audience.
The blog was set up in February 2009 by Martin Francis, a member of the Brent Green Party. It is worth noting that the views put forward on the blog are not necessarily the official views of the Green Party of England and Wales. WEMBLEY MATTERS is an individual weblog that is completely produced by Martin Francis.
WEMBLEY MATTERS tackles environment issues, climate change, cuts in public services, the privatisation of the NHS and the threat posed by academies and free schools. The blog posts vary from articles on topical issues about Wembley and Brent along with videos and images to national issues which are also relevant to Brent. Although Martin is based in the Wembley area and much of the content is focused on the London borough of Brent, the material relates to many issues people face across the United Kingdom. The blog has a Green Party stance to politics and heavily criticises the Conservative government's plans and changes.
PR opportunities are not obvious; however guest blogging is a possibility. Martin, although retired is a spokesperson on Children and Families. So therefore could be interested in public speaking opportunities. The best way to contact Martin and the WEMBLEY MATTERS blog is here. Alternatively Martin can be reached via
