Background & Format: Vikalinka is a personal blog about "cooking and travel." The blog provides a mixture of cooking and travel content with Julia blogging about what interests her. Many posts are about recipes Julia has written which are written in a first person style and may include photographs. Others consist of what to see when travelling abroad, holidaying with children and food tours. She also writes about the best recipes.
The Blogger: Vikalinka is written by Julia Frey who started the blog while working as an English teacher and raising her two children with her husband. "I started Vikalinka because I simply wanted to record my recipes but very quickly realized that when I am blogging I am in my most creative state. I love pushing that side of myself and constantly finding that creativity has no limits."
