Background and Format:
Urban Studies journal provides an international forum for the discussion of issues in the fields of urban and regional analysis and planning. A hallmark of the journal is that it publishes leading articles from urban scholars working from within a variety of disciplines, including geography, economics, sociology and political science as well as planning and public administration. The journal aims to provide theoretically and empirically informed analysis of the myriad changes affecting the urban and regional condition in the economically advanced nations as well as less developed economies. While contribution to academic scholarship is the mainstay of the journal, its intent is also to inform practitioners of the changing urban scene.
