About

Bio

Launched in October 2007, The Real blog is a blog 'about some aspects of my work around history and future, and although it covers politics, money and business, it is devoted to one broad theme: the importance of human-scale institutions over centralised ones, human imagination over dull rationalism, and the human spirit over technocratic reduction.' The blog posts are written by David Boyle who is the author of a range of books about history, social change, politics and the future. He has been editor of a number of publications including Town & Country Planning, Community Network, New Economics, Liberal Democrat News and Radical Economics. He is a fellow of the New Economics Foundation. Recent entries in The Real blog include The risks of investigating the banks now, We should nominate Elle for the Turner Prize, Why governments take so long to act, Lib Dems, Greens must not hate/barbarians are at the gate and I am standing for the Lib Dem policy committee. This is why. PR opportunities include news and information related to Politics. David can best be reached via email.
