Background and Format: The Parenting Jungle is a parenting and lifestyle blog. In their own words: "Unable to stand watching the thousandth episode of Murder She Wrote the Parenting Jungle began unexpectedly in May 2016 when I was off work recovering from having a troublesome chest lump removed. Began because of a BOOB. In a moment of uncertainty I wanted to decant some of myself onto the page, my feelings and experiences of being a mother. To create a visual record of the wild and wonderful moments I had with my son.  Thankfully the in case never came and TPJ took root and has grown quickly as a creative family and lifestyle blog." In her own words: "I am Jade, co-creator of #Lionessmama Instagram community, a (somehow) award winning parent blogger and 30 year old mummy who has successfully kept a child alive solo for 6 years. Naively I believed that having degrees in Education and Social work would mean I would have stable footing as a mother. I was WRONG and instead have flailed through on the qualifications of being a try’er and a cope’er. I like loose routines, receiving coupons and socks for presents, outdoor playing, positive reinforcement, dragon breathing (when you are cross and want to swear) and eating your kids leftovers. Crumpets are the foodstuffs of kings. I have nightmares about having my eyebrows threaded. A photography enthusiast, I love a camera filter and mustard yellow. A VERY amateur baker. Tea fiend. I said sorry 132 times when I was in labour. Living in #Devon I put my feet in the sea as often as possible."
