About

Bio

Star Tribune Online is the companion Web site to the daily newspaper the Star Tribune. The site reports on national and international affairs, and also includes local coverage of Minneapolis and St. Paul politics, events and culture. Main sections include News, Freetime, Travel, Homezone, Cars, Shopping and Working. The majority of the articles on the site are reprinted from the newspaper or aggregated from outside sources. Original content includes opinion columns contributed by local citizens; breaking news stories and updates; and multimedia coverage of stories, including slide shows and video clips. Interactive features, such as discussion boards, are also available on the site. Startibune.com is updated daily. There are no set lead times and deadlines are continuous. Since most original features are breaking news stories, non-disclosure agreements are non-applicable. Graphic submissions may be accepted. Since many of the site's original articles are of breaking, updating, or augmenting nature, and press releases may be more appropriate if sent to the appropriate staff member of the Star Tribune. Contact the advertising department for the latest traffic figures and advertising rates. The site does not publish an editorial calendar. PR professionals seeking coverage on the site are instructed to send all press releases by fax to the general attention of the startribune.com's editorial office.
