Bio

Splinter was bought by Paste Media Group from G/O Media in late 2023, and relaunched in March 2024. Offers justice-minded, inclusive, and incisive news coverage geared toward young people, and focusing on issues that truly impact the day-to-day lives of younger generations. Splinter informs, empowers, and inspires its audience through a unique mix of content that includes original reporting and investigative journalism, and coverage of news, pop culture, politics and social justice. Splinter accepts pitches with a social justice angle, including coverage of race, class, gender, LGBTQ issues, sex and sexual politics, immigration, subcultures, pop culture and more. The site features long-form stories, think pieces, interviews and Q&A's. Do not pitch culture reviews, personal essays or fiction. Be sure to explain why the piece is fitting for Splinter and its audience.
