Sounds and Colours is a blog about South American music and culture. Through regular articles, news, reviews and audiovisual features, the team focus on the diverse cultures of the South American continent with music, films, and the arts. Sounds and Colours began in order to promote South American music and culture. The team felt that Latin American culture was often shown through a narrow lens, missing much of the diversity that makes it such a rich culture.
Russell Slater is the founder of the site (Founder/Editor) alongside a team of contributors. He also contributes to a variety of publications, usually focusing on contemporary Latin American music.
