The Features section showcases the big stories about people, politics, business, the media, food, fashion, crime, culture, real estate, medical issues, parenting, and quality of life issues. The Strategist section is dedicated to inspiring New Yorkers to live well by providing advice in the following subsections: The Best Bet, Mating, The Look Book, Storefront, Market Research, Food, The Everything Guide, Economy of One, Map, Body, Real Estate and Travel. • KDFW-TV
    KDFW-TV

KDFW-TV is the FOX affiliate for the Dallas-Fort Worth market. KDFW broadcasts locally on channel 4. The station was formed in the 1940s, when the owners of radio station KRLD-AM decided to open their own TV station. Starting out as KRLD-TV, it was the fourth Texas television station granted a license to operate by the Federal Communications Commission. Its first telecast was a football game. Later on, it incorporated news and local entertainment programs, and became affiliated with the CBS network. The most significant moments of Channel 4 history came in November 1963, when John F. Kennedy was shot and Channel 4 was there at the event live. Then two days later, the prime suspect of the assassination, Lee Harvey Oswald, was himself shot and killed during the live broadcast. On July 2, 1970, as a result of a merger between two owners, Channel 4 was assigned new call letters. KDFW-TV became the station's new name, since DFW represents the Dallas-Fort Worth viewing area. In 1995, it broke away from CBS, and formed a new alliance with the Fox Network.
