About
Bio
Scottish Rugby Blog is a blog dedicated to Scottish Rugby launched in 2007. The team aims “for this blog to be an irreverent look at the glorious sport of Rugby, as told from a Scottish perspective”.
A small team of Bloggers contribute content and they are led by Editor & Co-Founder Rory Baldwin. Rory “is a keen rugby follower with a fairly minimal rugby career in the backs”. Rory has commented on rugby for various broadcasters including BBC Five Live, BBC Radio Wales and has also contributed to ESPN’s Scrum.com. He owns a graphic design company and lives in Inverness. Al, or Alan, Kerr co-founded the blog and works as Senior Correspondent. Al plays rugby for Heriot’s in Edinburgh and hopes to give an insight into Scottish premier club rugby.
Whilst the blog is mostly about Scottish rugby, this is not exclusive and some posts do cover the wider world of the sport. Posts are divided into categories which include Adventures in Rugby, Laws, Rules and Refs, Player Interviews, Rugby on TV and Scotland A Team among others. On average the blog is updated three or four times a week.
PR opportunities lie within profile opportunities in the form of interviews and brand name and product placement or advertorial. All contact should be made through Rory by email.
