Background and Format: Established in 1979, Record Collector features rare and collectible records. Each month the magazine spans 50 years of music history, covering every era and every genre - pop, rock, psychedelia, soul, rock & roll, reggae, soundtracks - and more. Record Collector uses expert writers from around the world to present a package of detailed features, news, reviews, interviews, valuations and advice. Thousands of records and other musical items are advertised in every issue, aiming at dealers, buyers and sellers of music collectibles. Audience and Readership: The magazine is aimed at record collectors. Deadline: The deadline is six weeks prior to publication. Time of publication: Time of publication varies because it is every four weeks, but it tends to be towards the end of the month. Frequency: The magazine is published 13 times per year.
