Punch Records began in 1997 as a music retail store, specialising in hard-to-find vinyl, before growing into one of the largest outlets for Black, Bhangra and related musics in the UK. Punch works with a variety of emerging and established acts, as well as delivering workshops and large-scale community based projects. Its blog provides label news and developments, as well as news from the wider world of Black Music.
Blog posts are written internally by Punch staff.
The blog serves as the record label's main website, providing news and developments, artist profiles and song samples, as well as retail links and details of concerts and events. Recent posts include: BRIDGET KELLY’S FIRST UK TOUR; RECORD BREAKING ACHIEVEMENTS; and BASS15; BLACK HISTORY MONTH ICONS. The blog has separate sections for touring details, and details of on-going projects to create commissions, festivals and experiences.
