Background and Format:
Professional Hairdresser offers new products and techniques to the business of running a salon including step-by-steps, case studies, marketing examples and trend forecasts. The magazine is aimed at salon owners and managers. When sending press to the publication the editorial deadline is 12 weeks prior to publication and the title is then published at the beginning of each month. There are 11 issues a year with one joint issue published in July/August. Supplements and sections in the publication include: Quick Fire Questions - The biggest minds in the business answer a set of lighthearted, quick fire questions. Let me know if you would like to put someone forward for the hot seat, Salon Playlist - A range of salon playlists from the best in the business. Please submit the names of 5-10 songs that get the subject’s creative juices flowing and a brief summary of their music tastes, along with a high res profile shot of the subject. For news: send in stories with accompanying high res imagery (at least 300dpi and 1050px x 700px), Step-by-steps: They are accepting video tutorials and static step-by-steps. Submit video files in .mov or mp4 format. Static high res step-by-step images at least 800px wide (300dpi), along with final look image, which correspond to the accompanying step-by-step copy. Collections: submit collections that you permit to publish online; all images must be at least 580px high. Behind the scenes: submit inspirational videos in .mov or mp4 format.
