Private Practice (formerly The Independent Practitioner) is the quarterly professional journal for counsellors and psychotherapists working independently. The journal reaches counsellors and psychotherapists working independently, either in private practice or for Employee Assistance Programmes (EAPs) or agencies, in paid and voluntary positions. The journal aims to offer a range of informative, relevant and thought-provoking articles to represent the diverse voices of its readers, providing a space for personal and professional reflection and a forum for conversation and debate, whilst also highlighting examples of good practice and supporting the networking of independent practitioners.
