    Established in 1891, and the only daily publication committed to serving the municipal bond industry and published for municipal finance professionals and investors. Editorial provides complete market coverage, concise commentary, a daily new-issue calendar, in-depth statistical data and many special supplements each year highlighting industry events. Features municipal market highlights, national, state and local affairs, business profiles, derivatives, underwriting strategies, new-issue strategies, merger announcements, personnel developments. Reports on the latest breaking regional news stories and examines the effects on the municipal marketplace, and includes profiles of leaders and newsmakers, examinations of upcoming debt issues, state specific legislation and rating changes. Reporters at The Bond Buyer are most easily reached by email before 2PM. Between 2PM and 6PM, the staff is on deadline. Smaller things like appointment news can be turned around quickly and can be sent during deadline time. The Bond Buyer accepts byline/opinion submissions, as long as they are focused on the municipal bond markets. If you are submitting for their print version, the submission must have 800 words or less. Submissions are vetted by The Bond Buyer team to see if it should be for online or print. It is always better to contact reporters as opposed to editors, since editors simply forward emails on. All reporters read through their email, though they may not respond to you right away. Most appreciate phone follow ups at least a day after sending the email. Regional news (outside of New York) should be directed to the appropriate bureau. They prefer data heavy pitches that they can use for strong analysis in their coverage
