Background and Format:The Northwich Guardian is a Newsquest newspaper which covers local leisure, showbiz news, arts, cinema and travel as well as news and sport. The sport it covers includes coverage of bowls, cricket, rugby, football as well as athletics and motorsport. It includes several ‘local life’ pages focusing on grass roots news from villages and communities. There are three interactive opinion pages - featuring columnists, readers’ letters and views. There are also weekly pages dedicated to schools, business and clubs as well as a Remember When nostalgia page. It merged with the Winsford and Middlewich Guardian in 2013, before reverting back to a stand alone publication in March 2015.
