Background and Format:
Local Authority Building & Maintenance Magazine (LABM) was first launched back in 1985, it is the "leading information resource" for this sector and is known for always being quick to respond to any new developments taking place. Originally, LABM’s main area of focus was on local authorities, however the magazine has now extended its reach to housing associations to offer a much wider, more in-depth coverage of the construction and maintenance of the entire social housing and public buildings sector.
Audience and Readership:
Readers of the magazine include housing and maintenance managers, surveyors, main contractors, SME contractors, architects, plus education and healthcare authorities and those involved with development and planning.

Deadlines can be found here.
Time of Publication:
Usually in the last week of the month preceding the cover month.
Frequency:
There are 11 issues a year, with a joint issue in July/August.

Greenbuild Expo is an exhibition and conference on sustainable construction launching in June this year. The show is linked to two Hamerville Magazines titles producing special green issues - the May 2009 issues of Local Authority Building & Maintenance and Housing Association Building & Maintenance will both be entirely devoted to sustainability. The two-day event will involve debates and seminars on topics such as eco towns, greening the existing housing stock and creating sustainable communities. The show takes place on 17th and 18th June at Manchester Central and is free to attend by registering at www.greenbuildexpo.co.uk.
