Liberal England is a blog covering liberal issues in England and falls in line with the politics of the Liberal Democrats. The blog covers political affairs that affect different areas and people living in England. It also covers the policies and work of the Liberal Democrats.
Jonathan Calder has been a political Blogger for a number of years and first started Liberal England in 2004. Prior to Liberal England he wrote the Diary of Whittington - created during London’s first mayoral election, which Jonathan describes as “the first political blog in Britain”. Jonathan has also written House Points, a weekly Commons sketch written for Liberal Democrat News, and has previously contributed to The Guardian, New Statesman, Openmind, Liberator, Spiked, Clinical Psychology and the British Psychology Society Psychotherapy Section Newsletter. He has also worked as a District Councillor and has contributed to speeches by Paddy Ashdown and Charles Kennedy.
Blog posts cover a wide variety of topics including current affairs, the politics of the Liberal Democrats, social liberalism, local politics and international issues. He posts several times a day, often posting around 90 a month.
PR opportunities may be limited, subject to the nature of the blog, but Jonathan does appear on other media outlets and he can be reached by email.
