KDPS-FM is a non-commercial station owned by Des Moines Public Schools. Weekday programming consists mainly of alternative rock music. KDPS-FM broadcasts to the Central Campus high school and Grand View College students at 88.1 FM.
Central Campus high school students air programming from late August to early June during the daytime on weekdays and on Friday nights. Grand View College students operate most of the evening (6pm to midnight) programming during the school year, from September to April. Weekday programming consists mainly of alternative rock music. Kids Radio Mania (for ages 2 to 14) runs on Saturdays and Sundays every weekend of the year and also airs on some holidays. The station is typically off the air on weeknights from May to August and does not air any weekday material during the daytime from mid-June to late August.
