    Next Avenue provides news and information and discussion of issues relevant to Americans over 50, such as health and well-being, money and security, work and purpose, living and learning, and caregiving. Next Avenue has developed a number of formal relationships to provide content for their site, including Grandparents.com. Media Alert: Wednesday June 27th 2012 Next Avenue, the new website from PBS focused on the Baby Boomer generation, recently launched. The website aims to educate and connect America's older population, providing the information and connection to resources that people need to age vitally and with independence. Next Avenue enables older Americans to take action on issues that are important to them, their families, and their communities. The website currently has five channels: Health & Well-Being, Money & Security, Work & Purpose, Living & Learning, and Caregiving.

    Growing Bolder TV Show - WUCF-TV

    TV program that is a companion to the same-named Web site and program on WFLA-AM. It draws on video interviews and other features celebrating people of Central Florida who have life-affirming, age-defying attitudes. Past interviewees have included Roger McGuinn of The Byrds, to philanthropist Stephen Goldman, to a 93 year-old barefoot waterkskier.

    Growing Bolder

    The program focuses on issues affecting the 50 and older population. The program is primarily geared toward those over age 50 who remain active. Show features include interviews with local politicians and community activists and information on things to do in the Orlando, FL area if you are 50 or older. Other topics include baby boomers' impact on American culture, health and well being and issues related to aging in America. Growing Bolder is a prerecorded program. The program is taped on Mondays, and news and features will be accepted no later than the Friday before the show is recorded. All information must pertain to the 50 and older, active adult population. Show guests must have something to say that is of importance to that population. The show's flagship station is WMFE-FM Orlando and can also be heard on KEDT-FM (Texas) and KGLP-FM (New Mexico).
