Background and Format: Launched in February 1999, heat is a weekly gossip magazine published by Bauer Consumer Media each Tuesday, offering entertainment and celebrity news. heat also includes the Starstyle section telling their readers what all the stars are wearing and how to achieve that look. heat includes guides to the best in TV, music, films and DVDs. Deadline: Press day: Thursday Goes to print: half on Thursday evening, the other half Friday Time of Publication: Tuesday Supplements and Sections: heat includes the following sections; all are PRable: Starstyle The heat interview Reviews Boyd-o-Vision (Tv & Entertainment from Boyd Hilton) films music books stuff (miscellany that doesn't fit into the above categories) food Top Tips for PRs: Minimum prize value is £3,000 and must be celebrity orientated, fun, glossy and on brand. For the crossword page, one third of a page including the grid, image, logo and 50 words copy. Letter of the week prize is normally a mobile phone or MP3 player and must be provided for 6 weeks. Entries are sent into the magazine and sent on to the PR agency for prize fulfilment.
