Heart's weekday output from 6:00-10:00am, 4:00pm to 7:00pm and weekends from 1:00pm until 5:00pm (Saturday) and 12:00pm until 4:00pm (Sunday) is produced and presented from their local studios, based in Reading.
Off-peak programming such as Toby Anstis, Matt Wilkinson, Club Classics, Zoe Hardman, Emma Bunton, Mark Wright, Stephen & Emma, JK & Lucy and The Big Top 40 Show is produced at various studios owned and operated by Heart's parent company, Global Radio Holdings Limited.

Heart broadcasts locally produced news bulletins hourly between 6:00am and 7:00pm weekdays, and 6:00am and 12:00pm at weekends. In addition to these, news containing nationally produced content, is broadcast hourly at all other times with the exception of during the Big Top 40 Show.

As of this week twelve new stations have joined the Heart network, including GWR Wiltshire, GWR Bristol, GWR Bath, Gemini FM in Torbay and Exeter, Plymouth Sound, Orchard FM, Lantern FM, South Hams Radio, Fox FM in Oxford, Severn Sound and 2-Ten FM in Reading. These stations have joined the other nine Heart stations launched in phase one in early January, including Ipswich, Colchester, Norwich, Dunstable, Bedford, Peterborough, Cambridge, Milton Keynes and Northampton, plus the three original Heart stations in London, West Midlands and East Midlands – making a total of 24 stations in the current network. All the stations produce and present their own local programming between the hours of 6-10am and 1-7pm Monday to Friday and between 8am-midday on a Saturday and Sunday. The news teams at the stations have remained unchanged.

Global Radio has announced the second phase of the roll-out of the Heart brand.
