Background and format: Heart Essex is a local radio station that aims to broadcast classic and contemporary hits, local and national news and information for Essex. It was rebranded from Essex FM. The majority of broadcasting is now networked, except for local breakfast shows from 6am to 10am, and local afternoon shows from 4pm to 7pm.
