Background and Format:
Launched in January 2013, Healthcare Leader is the journal specifically designed to directly address the challenges faced by the new clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) as they plan care for their populations.
Through interviews, features and in-depth insight articles, The Commissioning Review covers policy, finance, CCGs and commissioning support to help GP leaders get the most out of their new role.
The journal is endorsed by the Royal College of General Practitioners and the NHS Alliance who are lseek to share best practice among clinical commissioners.
The magazine was formally known as The Commissioning Review until January 2017.

Insight - where policy is boiled down to a practice level to help GPs capitalise from QOF, QIPP and consortia.
Audience and Readership:
Healthcare Leader sits at the heart of a highly-engaged community of over 10,500 Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) board members, Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) personnel, NHS England staff and Health and Wellbeing Board members.
CCGs are (predominantly) groups of GPs that are responsible for planning and designing local health services in England. They do this by ‘commissioning’ or buying health and care services including:
