Background and Format: Yorkshire Coast Radio aims to provide 1970s music, news, showbusiness, sport for Scarborough, Whitby, Filey and Bridlington and surrounding areas in North and East Yorkshire, available on Whitby on 103.1FM, in Scarborough and Filey on 96.2FM, in Bridlington on 102.4FM, DAB and online. All of Yorkshire Coast Radio's programming is broadcast locally from studios in Scarborough. Some of Yorkshire Coast Radio's programming is automated during off-peak hours. During daytime hours automated programming is broadcast between 12:00-2:00pm on Saturday and from 12:00pm on Sunday. They broadcast news bulletins containing a mix of local, national and international news hourly from 7:00am to 6:00pm inclusive each weekday. In addition they broadcast news headlines on the half-hour at 6:30, 7:30 and 8:30am. A one minute local news summary is broadcast each weekday evening following the national news at 7, 8, 9 and 10pm. Sport bulletins are broadcast at 7.30am, 8.30am, 1pm and 6pm each weekday. They broadcast a business news bulletin at 1:00pm and 6:00pm each weekday. Bulletins containing national and international news are broadcast on the hour at all other times. At the weekend we broadcast news bulletins containing a mix of local, national and international news hourly from 8:00am until 12:00pm inclusive.
