Background and Format:FundEd will equip schools with the tools and advice they need to raise additional funds from the local community and through grant-giving trusts.Through new technologies and traditional print media, FundEd will equip schools with the tools they need to raise money from the local community and access the millions of pounds available through foundations and corporate giving schemes. The first printed issue has been sent to 5,000 schools. A digital edition of the magazine can be viewed here and the team are currently working on the second issue, to be published in June. The first issue will cover getting creative with STEM, an expert guide to crowdfunding, interviews with grant managers and inspirational testimonials from schools that have funded a 3D printer, a robotics lab and a WWII shelter. Community Inspired will send out 20,000 printed copies to schools across the UK on 10 March and a further 200,000 Headteachers, School Business Managers and curriculum leaders will receive the digital edition.
