Background and Format: FEISTY is an online music magazine that brings its readers the latest features, sounds, gigs, exclusives, and news from the UK and beyond. The magazine works with major PR agencies, labels, and festivals to offer readers a unique, up-close look at today’s hottest new bands and established acts. Crossing genre boundaries, FEISTY looks to point readers toward the bands its team recommends, letting them decide for themselves. The publication also utilises photography and video content as part of a multimedia approach. Audience and Readership: FEISTY has a core audience in the UK as well as a growing presence internationally. It is aimed at people interested in music festivals, gigs and new bands, with the majority of followers aged between 16 and 35. The Strategist section is dedicated to inspiring New Yorkers to live well by providing advice in the following subsections: The Best Bet, Mating, The Look Book, Storefront, Market Research, Food, The Everything Guide, Economy of One, Map, Body, Real Estate and Travel. The Culture Pages section gives the low-down on entertainment with subsections on Movies, Theater, Music, Art, Books and TV. The Agenda section at the back of each issue provides succinct listings for things to do. Subsections include Movies, Broadway & Off-Broadway, Art Museums, Galleries, Photography, Special Events, Music & Dance, Nightlife, Readings, Lectures & Panels, Restaurants, Kids and The Word. The final page is reserved for the Artifact section, highlighting current ideas, trends or interesting information reflecting city life. From 2 November Huey Morgan will move from Sunday afternoon to Saturday mornings at 10am-1pm, taking over from Edith Bowman whose series will come to an end. Sunday mornings will still be hosted by Cerys Matthews but her show is being extended by 1 hour, seeing the show run from 10am-1pm. The Sunday Special slot will move to 1pm. The hour long show includes one-off guest playlists and documentaries. Guy Garvey’s show will be moving from Sunday 10pm to the earlier time of 2pm. Don Letts will be moving to fill Guy’s show at 10pm and will be running through to 12am. Lauren Laverne will be presenting 6 music live from Monday 14 to Friday 18 October, from Maida Vale at 10am-1pm.
