Launched in August 2010, Edspire is a parenting blog from the eponymous Jennie Edspire.
Jennie says: "Years ago I spent my days caring for other peoples children as a primary school teacher. I loved my job. I loved planning and teaching creative lessons and loved the subjects that I led which were English (literacy) and ICT. I loved the relationships that I built with the children that I taught. When I met my husband David I knew that I wanted us to have children of our own. I did not know that within 5 years of meeting we would have three beautiful children." Jennie lives with her husband and three children and blogs regularly.
Sections on Edspire include Our Story, Pregnancy, Prematurity, Play, Trips and Travel and Work With Me. The posts vary in length, are added several times a week and often include images. The blog received the Outstanding Contribution award at the MAD Awards in 2013. Recent blog posts are "What NOT To Do When Moving House" "Designing The Perfect Nursery For Your Little One" "Line A Day Journal" and "10 Songs I Remember From My Childhood"
