Background and Format:
Economist Intelligence Unit is a forecasting, analysis and business intelligence provider, and part of the Economist Group. The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) offers insight and analysis on developed and emerging markets to business leaders to prepare strategies. EIU provides analysis and forecasts on more than 200 countries and key industries, including technology, finance and energy. Among the products and services offered to executives are electronic publications which analyse trends and track economic developments. Economist Intelligence Unit is a paid for service and requires a separate subscription from that of The Economist magazine. Some EIU content is featured in the magazine but not with any specific regularity. EIU and The Economist magazine have two separate business, staffs and databases.
