Background and Format:
Gazette Group Newspapers (GGN) was formed in January, 2004, by Liam Hayes and Michael McGovern, with an aim to launch quality weekly newspaper titles in the Greater Dublin area. The Gazette was conceived as a response to demographic developments in Greater Dublin, where the emergence of 'new' communities in the area giving rise to increased spending power and high levels of population growth. The Gazette Newspapers produce seven different editions, each aimed specifically at one of these communities.

The Gazette's papers are read by a wide demographic in the Greater Dublin area.
