Manchester-based Creative Katy Cowan is the Founder of the blog. The blog shares Inspiration with work from the fields of advertising, animation, art, crafts, design, photography and illustration - for inspiration and exposing talent. They say: "We also love to provide tips that will help you to go freelance, build your business, further your career or even just enhance your creative life. And when you've got enough inspiration and tips under your belt, we have a range of Features - inviting you to meet other creatives, see where they work and find out more about their creative loves. We even love to write about cities across the world to explore local creative scenes. And then, when you need freelance work, or the next step up the career ladder - our Jobs Board should help. Or if you're after some extra exposure or looking to work with other creatives - you should check out our Directory and get yourself listed by signing up."
Extending beyond a creative's work life, Creative Boom also loves to cover play – featuring travel, lifestyle and cultural ideas and inspirations. From recommending destinations, hotels, restaurants and bars to sharing the latest exhibitions, shows, books, magazines and festivals. Since its launch, Creative Boom has championed thousands of creatives across the UK and beyond, becoming one of the UK's leading art & design blogs. It has also attracted advertisers such as BBC, Adobe, Yahoo, Vimeo, Samsung, Jaguar and The Guardian.
