Background and Format: Capital Cymru is a radio station owned and operated by Global Radio as part of the Capital radio network. Previously, the station formed part of the Heart radio network. It switched to Capital in May 2014. It broadcasts contemporary pop hits, local and national news and information for Caernarfon, Anglesey and Gwynedd. The majority of broadcasting is now networked. It is available on 103FM in the areas of Caernarfon, Anglesey and Gwynedd, DAB Digital Radio and Online. Information on advertising can be viewed here. Top Tips for PRs: Capital South Wales' programming is locally produced and presented for 7 hours each weekday and 4 hours on Saturdays and Sundays. Capital FM broadcasts news bulletins on the half-hour between 5am and 9am, and 5pm, and 7pm, with hourly bulletins between 5am and 7pm on weekdays. These bulletins contain a full mix of local, national and world stories, along with sport, weather and entertainment news. Although they do not broadcast Welsh-speaking programmes, some commercials are broadcast in Welsh and they occasionally produce Welsh speaking content for the web site. A full schedule can be viewed here.¿ Alerts: Gorkana Consumer Alert: Monday 11th May 2009 Global Radio has announced that the final stage of its Heart rebrand across the UK will be completed on 22nd June. 2CR, Champion 103, Coast 96.3, Essex FM, Invicta FM, Marcher Sound, Ocean FM, Southern FM and Wirral's Buzz 97.1 will all become Heart stations; raising the total number to 33 in the network. All of the stations will produce and present their own local programming between the hours of 6-10am and 1-7pm Monday to Friday and between 8am-midday on a Saturday and Sunday. The news teams at the stations remain unchanged.
