It is available as a superstation via satellite and cable providers in select cities within the southwestern United States and Canada. KTLA-TV debuted in 1947, becoming the first commercial station in California and eighth in the United States. It was initially affiliated with the Dumont Network, and then Paramount Television Network, before becoming independently operated in 1955. KTLA became one of the original affiliates of The WB in 1995, and later changed to The CW when The WB and UPN merged in 2006.
