Background and Format:
Broadcast provides news on the television and radio industry. First set up over 40 years ago, it was originally aimed at the advertising sector but has now shifted towards programme makers.
It does NOT now cover advertising, nor does it cover awards, with the exception of the BAFTAs, and occasionally the Oscars. Since April 2015, the website has provided aggregates of news, ratings, commissioning information, opinion pieces and features for specific genres hosted on the website.

The website is aimed at programme makers, content producers and those working in the broadcast industry.

Broadcast has launched a new section on its website (www.broadcastnow.co.uk) dedicated to aggregating the full range of news, ratings, commissioning information, opinion pieces and features for programming in specific genres. The section has launched with areas dedicated to comedy, drama, entertainment, factual and factual-entertainment.
The team have also launched the magazine’s first mobile app, available here, for subscribers with iOS and Android devices.
