Bebop spoken here is a music Blog focusing on Bebop, Swing, Modern and other modes of Jazz beyond the titular form. The blog is based in Newcastle and covers the North East of England, featuring record reviews, concert listings and general discussion. In its own words: "The idea of this blog is for you to share your thoughts and pass on your comments on discs, gigs, jazz - music in general. If you've been to a gig/concert or heard a CD that knocked you sideways please share your views with us. Tell us about your favourites, your memories, your dislikes." The blog was founded by Lance Liddle, who writes some of the content, much of which is also provided by the site's wider Blogging community. Blog posts concentrate on Jazz happenings in the North East, as well as record reviews, Jazz history and musician profiles. Recent posts include: RIP Kitty Kalle; CD Review: Echoes of Swing - Dancing; Homage to Mark Murphy - R.I.P; and CD Review: Deborah Shulman - My Heart's in the Wind. A strong network of local clubs, pubs and bars is featured within the blog, which updates its listings regularly. Comments and discussion from the wider blogging community are encouraged.
