Background and Format: Launched in 1985, BBC Radio Shropshire is the BBC's local radio station for the county of Shropshire. It broadcasts a mix of entertainment, news and debate, local information, including travel, weather and music, and aims to reflect life in the county in an entertaining and friendly manner. The station provides a range of news and information about Shropshire along with national and international news. Some parts of the day (breakfast and teatime) are mainly news-focused, while at other times content will include a wider range of local events, people and places of interest. BBC Radio Shropshire is available on 96FM across much of the county from the main Wrekin transmitter. It is also available on 95FM around Ludlow, 90FM in the Church Stretton area and 104.1FM in Clun. It is broadcast on DAB Digital Radio from the Wrekin, covering central and eastern Shropshire, and online via www.bbc.co.uk/radioshropshire.  Owner: BBC Schedule Times: A full on air schedule can be viewed here.
