WPCH-TV
WPCH-TV is the CW affiliate for the Atlanta market and broadcasts locally on channel 17. It shares a newsroom with its sister station WANF-TV. Channel 17 hit the airwaves as WJRJ-TV in 1967 and merged with Turner Communications Corporation, owned by media entrepreneur Ted Turner, in 1969. WTCG became America's first "superstation" in 1976 when its content began distribution to cable providers in the Midwestern and Southeastern United States. It changed call letters to WTBS in 1979 as the station continued to build a national reputation and later spun off as the cable network TBS. WTBS-TV shifted back to its local focus after splitting from the cable entity. The station changed call letters to WPCH-TV and rebranded as Peachtree TV in 2007. It was purchased by Gray in 2021 and picked up CW affiliation in October 2022.
