They cover the best in independent and festival cinema year round and every September we are responsible for the full, comprehensive coverage of the Cambridge Film Festival.TAKE ONE evolved in 2011 from the original Cambridge Film Festival Daily as the official source of news, reviews and interviews on all films screened during the Cambridge Film Festival. The first hard copy issue of TAKE ONE was distributed around Cambridge on September 8th 2011, and the website officially launched in November 2011 and runs throughout the year. The blog posts are written by Jim Ross (Managing Editor), Rosy Hunt (Editor-in-Chief) and Associate Editors; Gavin Midgley, Mike Boyd, Sarah McIntosh and Edd Elliott as well as individuals from a pool of about 20 - 30 writers that are across Europe, North America and Africa. Entries in the Take One blog concentrate on categories such as Film festivals such as the Edinburgh Film Festival, Cambridge African Film Festival, London Korean Film Festival, Brighton Film Festival, Norwich Film Festival and Aesthetica short film festival in York. They have also covered the British Silent Film Festival in print as well as online. On the site you can find a complete archive of all reviews and interviews from the Cambridge Film Festival, including interviews with John Hurt, Gary Oldman, Paddy Considine and Nicholas Winding Refn.
