SSoundbite CultureUnited Kingdom
Soundbite Culture is a developing entertainment blog that is based in London and predominantly aimed at a UK audience. The blog was founded in October 2011 by Freelance Film Journalist Jonathan Campbell. He says, "Having lived as a freelance writer til I could no longer stomach the email fights I’d pick with my hopelessly inept and morally bankrupt editors who didn’t – or rather couldn’t – write themselves, I decided to take a leaf out of some Indian bloke’s book and be the change I wanted to see in the world." So he decided to create a platform for himself to write whatever he wanted, in whatever way he wanted to; far from the editorial, financial and political constraints the vast majority of our supposed Fourth Estate and their less than altruistic agendas operate under. This has now evolved into Soundbite Culture, a none too clever observation upon the times we increasingly find ourselves living in and a handy descriptor of most every piece of writing you’ll find on this site. Because if we can’t write something in a soundbite, you won’t have the time to read it. The blog predominantly covers film but also some culture and music content too. Headings on the blog include Sound, Bite, Culture, Festivals, Interviews, SBC TV and Competitions. Within that there is Cinema Reviews, DVD Reviews, Album Reviews, Live Reviews, Film Festivals and Music Festivals. PR opportunities mainly exist in the form of reviews. The best way to contact Soundbite Culture is on the email address provided.
