Westcountry and West will merge to become ITV South West. ITV Meridian will be formed from the old Meridian East, Meridian South and Thames Valley regions. The London, Wales and the Granada regions remain unchanged. Each region will have one news bulletin but some sub-regions will continue to opt out for separate news bulletins of six to 15 minutes.
