Background and Format: Workingmums.co.uk was founded by senior communications manager Gillian Nissim in 2006 after the birth of her second child. The business was designed for mothers seeking flexible work. Working mums employs 14 staff. The website works alongside hundreds of employers, from large corporate firms to small businesses and has a large database of professional women seeking work in a wide variety of fields. Candidates register free and can file their CVs, while employers pay a small fee to advertise their jobs on the site and contact candidates who match their requirements.
