Background & Format:
Launched in May 2017, The Paw Post is a personal blog about "the stories of dozens of people making a difference in the lives of our pets." The blog provides a mixture of animal content with Rachel blogging about whatever interests her. Many posts are about tips on training pets which are written in an analytical style and may include photographs. Others consist of charity fundraising for housing pets, dog friendly pubs, products for dogs and appeals for missing dogs. She also writes interviews with dog trainers.
The Blogger:
The Paw Post is written by Rachel Spencer while working as a Freelance Journalist and media consultant for pet brands. "The idea to start a blog came about as I had so many stories, and by having my own platform I could tell them the way I felt they should be heard."
PR Opportunities:
PR opportunities are available in the form of sponsored posts, promotion of businesses and pet friendly accommodation. Rachel says: "Sponsored posts are considered if the product* or service is the right fit for my audience. I write the content myself as I don’t accept guest posts and this is a service I charge for. I don't review pet food." She can best be reached via the contact form here.

GGood Housekeeping
Good Housekeeping is published by Hearst and written for the contemporary homemaker. Articles focus on food, nutrition, fashion, beauty, relationships, home decorating, health, child care, and other consumer and social issues. Each issue delivers a unique mix of inspirational and personal stories, trusted information, and closely researched investigations and reports. Also there are tips for getting organized, and recipes for quick, healthy meals. While they don't designate a part of the magazine for green coverage they do take environmental considerations into account throughout each issue, so pitch accordingly. When sending green products be sure that they save readers time and money. Pitch recycling topics and remember that value and quality are most important to readers. Avoid sending too many luxury items as they rarely, if ever, cover luxury goods or services. When pitching products always be mindful of the staffs' deadlines. They typically work three to four months in advance. Be sure to include price, availability and other pertinent shopping details.
ViewWWhich?Which? offers its readers advice on a wide range of everyday consumer products and services. The magazine was founded in 1957 and champions consumer rights.
ViewNatureNature is a weekly international journal publishing the finest peer-reviewed research in all fields of science and technology on the basis of its originality, importance, interdisciplinary interest, timeliness, accessibility, elegance and surprising conclusions. Nature also provides rapid, authoritative, insightful and arresting news and interpretation of topical and coming trends affecting science, scientists and the wider public.
ViewSScientific AmericanEstablished in 1845, Scientific American remains the oldest continuously-published magazine in the United States. Redesigned in October 2010, the publication covers the most important and exciting research in science, health, technology, the environment, and society, exploring important ideas often months and years before other media recognizes their importance. The magazine publishes 15 foreign language editions, and regular sections include Forum, which provides a platform for external experts to comment on science policy; Science Agenda, where editors can discuss different science issues; and Insights, which profiles a scientist or researcher and analyzes their contribution to society. Other sections include Anti Gravity and Skeptic. Regular columns include The Science of Health and TechnoFiles. Publicists should feel free to pitch anytime, although they should avoid pitching individual products or new company officer announcements. They should focus on science-based stories that are better told by a journalist than an expert.
