With archives travelling back to October 2011, Talon-ted Lex is a beauty-focused blog, from Beauty Blogger Lex Gillies.
Lex is self-described as a "London beauty blogger. Kicking rosacea's butt. Skincare & nail art obsessed." She adds: "I started blogging in 2011 when I was made redundant and needed something to keep me sane on the internet. I have always loved nail art and have a (slightly ridiculous) nail varnish collection, so my blog was initially a nail blog – hence the name Talon-ted Lex. However, I soon started incorporating other aspects of beauty into my blog, most commonly skincare. I talk a lot about caring for sensitive and atypical skin as I have rosacea and have spent the last 10 years learning how to manage and care for my temperamental skin. 10 years of constantly testing skincare, trying out make up and trialling diet and lifestyle changes in order to control my rosacea means that I am able to offer advice and support for those of you dealing with similar issues. Together we can kick rosacea’s butt!"
Sections on the site include Rosacea; Nail Art as well as Personal. Previous posts on the site include "Relatable Not Aspirational"; "Nail Maintenance 101"; "Wedding Guest Outfit Inspiration"; as well as "A Long Weekend In Amsterdam". Posts tend to vary in length.
PR opportunities on the site include beauty product reviews (with a note to be sensitive and cognisant of products that may provoke skin reactions) and Lex can be reached via email.
