Audience and Readership: The newspaper is targeted at student readers at both Durham City and Queen's campuses.

The network airs programming from National Public Radio (NPR), Public Radio International (PRI), BBC News and American Public Media, as well as locally produced programs. The network covers local, national and international news stories, and also airs jazz and classical music. Many shows formerly produced by Minnesota Public Radio are now produced by American Public Media. Minnesota Public Radio Network broadcasts on over 37 stations in the state of Minnesota and adjacent states.

Independent Florida Alligator is a newspaper written for the students, faculty, and community of the University of Florida. High-tech, especially advances in technology, are covered in relation to the community. The editorial staff members are elected by the board and rotate positions every semester. It is published Monday through Friday mornings, except during holidays and exam periods. During the summer academic term, the paper is published Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Deadlines are at 6pm ET the day before the issue date.
